Mike de Leon’s film masterpiece, Batch ’81, will be releasing a behind-the-scene book

According to Citizen Jake‘s official page, they announced a book launch for Batch ’81: The Making of a Mike De Leon Film. It’s a behind-the-scene book that contains over 150 photographs, interviews, and the first draft of the original screenplay. It was written by Jerome Gomez; book designed by Cesar Hernando, art direction by Tom Estrera III and Mel Bacani III, and published by the Asian Film Archive in Singapore.

In Batch ’81, we follow the lives of seven neophytes as they strive to enter a fraternity through a difficult hazing process. One of the neophytes is a college student named Sid Lucero played by the late Mark Gil.

The book launch will happen on Saturday, October 28; follow by the Philippine premiere of the restored film at 9 PM which will close the QCinema International Film Festival 2017.
