The 43rd MIFF Best Picture of 2017, Ang Larawan, comes to U.S. Theaters on January 12, 2018.
Despite of the movie was pulled out from cinemas for the first week since its screening, more and more people are demanding to screen Ang Larawan in the theaters. Currently, Ang Larawan is still showing in 77 cinemas nationwide, according to their official Facebook page.
Now, TFC US announced that Ang Larawan will be shown in US cinemas on January 12, 2018.
Ang Larawan is based on Nick Joaquin‘s A Portrait of a Filipino Artist. The story is about two sisters Candida and Paula Marasigan who are being urged to sell their home because of their financial difficulties. Their father, a high-profile painter named Don Lorenzo Marasigan, has not produced a single painting for a long time which results to their financial trouble.
The cast of the movie-musical are Joanna Ampil, Rachel Alejandro, and Paulo Avelino. Also starring Zsa Zsa Padilla, Nonie Buencamino, Aicelle Santos, Cris Villonco, Sandino Martin, Robert Arevalo, Cara Manglapus, Rayver Cruz, Ogie Alcasid, Jojit Lorenzo, Dulce, Nanette Inventor, Bernardo Bernardo, Jaime Fabregas, Noel Trinidad, Menchu Lauchengco and Celeste Legaspi.
