Anim na Special Feature Films, tampok ngayon sa ‘PPP 2018’

SA pagpapatuloy ng selebrasyon ng Sandaang Taon ng Philippine Cinema ngayon buwan ng Agosto, ipinakilala ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) ang anim (6) na pinarangalan na mahuhusay na independent films na kabilang sa Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2018 Special Feature Section sa press launch nitong Agosto 1, 2018 sa Lungsod ng Quezon.

Binuksan ng FDCP ang PPP Special Feature Section para sa mga katangi-tanging independent films na nagkamit ng pagkilala sa mga malalaking independent film festival sa bansa.

Ang mga ito ay ang Balanginga: Howling Wildernes ni Khavn (QCinema207, Cast: Justine Samson, Pio del Rio, Warren Tuano), Gusto Kita with all my Hypothalamusdirected by Dwein Baltazar (Cine Filipino, Cast: Iana Bernardez, Nicco Manalo, Dylan Ray Talon, Soliman Cruz, Anthony Falcon), High Tide directed by Tara Illenberger (ToFarm 2017, Cast: Arthur Solinap, Sunshine Teodoro, Dalin Sarmiento, Forrest Kyle Buscato, Christine Mary Demaisip, Reina Christal Shin), Kiko Boksingero ni Thop Nazareno, (Cinemalaya 2017, Cast: Noel Comia Jr., Yayo Aguila, Angel Aquino, Denise Soliva, William Buenavente at JM Canlas), Paki ni Gian Carlo Abrahan (Cinema One Originals 2017, Cast: Dexter Doria, Eula Valdez, Ricky Davao, Shamaine Buencamino, Paolo Paraiso, Ina Feleo, Noel Trinidad) at Tu Pug Imatuy ni Arnel Barbarona (Sinag Manynila 2017, Cast: Malona Sulatan, Jong Monzon, Luis Georlin Banaag III, Jamee Rivera, Jillian Khayle Barbarona, Henyo Ehem) ay ipapalabas lahat sa piling sinehan nationwide simula Agosto 15- 21, 2018 kasama ang PPP main entries.

 

Ipapalabas ang Special Feature Section ng Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2018 mula Agosto 15- 21 sa SM North Edsa, SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, SM Manila, SM Fairview, SM Sta. Mesa, Gateway Cineplex and Robinsons Galleria.

“We are very grateful and proud that PPP gets to screen these six films which are more than worthy to be watched and appreciated by a wider audience,” ani FDCP Chairperson Liza Dino sa press launch.

“This month is certainly an exciting time for Philippine Cinema as all types of Filipino films that we have today will be featured,” dagdag niya.

Kasamang lalahok ang mga pelikulang ito sa sumusunod na aktibidad ng Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino: Pista at the Park Grand Fans Day at All-Star Parade, August 11, 2018 sa Liwasang Aurora sa Quezon Memorial Circle simula 10AM, free admission at PPP Opening Night sa SM North EDSA sa Agosto 1, 2018.

Panoorin ang Special Feature Section sa mga sumusunod na schools simula sa susunod na linggo: UPFI Film Studio sa August 6, 4PM; Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa sa August 7, 2PM; Unibersidad de Manila sa August 8, 1PM; Asia Pacific Film Institute sa August 9, 3PM; Adamson University sa August 10, 10AM; Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina sa August 13, 3PM at sa Mapua University sa August 14, 10AM.

Katuwang ng PPP ang National Cinemas Association of the Philippines (NCAP), Unicef, Globe Play it Right, SOLAR Entertainment Corporation, Outpost Visual Frontier, Nestle, ThinkBit, Sequioa Hotel.
