February is considered the love month, and The Filipino Channel (TFC) through its Kapamilya Thank You program joined the celebration by treating its loyal subscribers to a block screening of the ABS-CBN Films Black Sheep movie offering, “Alone/Together”, last February 14 at the Dolphy Theater inside the ABS-CBN Compound in Quezon City.
TFC’s “Alone/Together” block screening in Manila is part of the Kapamilya Thank You program, where gratitude to the loyal TFC subscribers is expressed through special treats.
Some of the TFC subscribers who were on vacation in Manila this month and fans of the film’s stars, Enrique Giland Liza Soberano, were present during the block screening. They reacted in unison as they experience a rollercoaster of emotions in the different scenes of the film.
“It shows you how harsh reality could be, but at the same time, you could actually chase after your dreams as long as you don’t give up,” said one fan, who is a college student, after watching the film.
Meantime, Manuela from Qatar stated: “Sobrang nagustuhan ko ‘yong movie kasi nagtuturo siya hindi lang about sa love, but also about sa life (I liked a lot how the movie did not only teach the viewers about love but also about life).”
The ultimate treat that everyone did not expect is the surprise appearance of Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano, who were grateful to everyone who chose to spend their Valentine’s Day watching their film.
“Maraming-maraming salamat po sa suporta ninyo. Salamat po na kami ang napili ninyong makasama ngayong Valentine’s Day (Thank you so much for your support and choosing to spend your Valentine’s Day with us),” said Enrique to the fans who were excited to see them.
Capping off the event was the announcement of the lucky winners who took home a “Family is Love” shirt.
