MODEL Jazz Rosales spends his whole day working as a Starbucks barista and commercial model.

After he graduated BS Tourism at the Far Eastern University, he worked as a barista at Starbucks for two years. A few months later, he wanted to do something different. That’s the reason why he entered show business.

He already appeared in commercials like H&H Makeover Salon with Vice Ganda. He’s also an endorser of Snap Fitness, and Dental First.

I had a chance to meet Jazz at Bakes & Brews in Fisher Mall, and talked more about his flourishing career as a host, dancer, and singer.

SNI: Just curious. Where did you get your name?

Jazz: My original name is Janssen. My parents call me Jazz. That’s my nickname.

SNI: You are a beginner in this industry. What do we expect from you?

Jazz: Right now, I do dancing. I’m a backup dancer in different events. Recently, I have voice lessons, because my manager, Roi Diego, told me to improve my singing.

SNI: Do you have acting experience?

Jazz: Before I joined in a theater play when I was in high school. Now, I want to do it again. So far, I want to have my own movie someday. For now, I do act in commercials.

SNI: Who is your favorite male celebrity?

Jazz: For now, my favorite is Jericho Rosales. He started as a contestant for Mr. Pogi. After he won, he became famous. He won awards for Best Actor. Not only he can act, he can also sing. That’s why I idolized him.

SNI: Who’s female celebrity do you want to work with?

Jazz: I like Anne Curtis. We know that she doesn’t have a good voice when she sings, but the thing I like about her is that she has a passion to do the things she likes. She has a jive to learn more to improve her voice. If I apply all these to myself, and do the things I love, I will succeed.

SNI: You’re still working in Starbucks. How do you manage your schedule?

Jazz: Well, I want to have a career in showbiz full-time, but right now my handler told me to stay at Starbucks for now, and build my showbiz career. If my career in showbiz is stable, that’s the time I’ll resign.

SNI: What are your upcoming projects?

Jazz: I have a benefit concert on March 10 at the Music Box, and I have a commercial for Globe.
