EVEN rain couldn’t stop the members of the LGBTQIA+ to gather and march together in the annual Metro Manila Pride. The oldest and the biggest Pride March in Asia was a record breaking event because the number of attendees, according to the news, was tripled compared last year. I attended the last year’s Pride, and I can say that the reports are right.
I spotted some celebrities and politician like Filipino-Iranian television personality Angelina Mead King, actress Nadine Lustre, and Senator Risa Hontiveros who authored the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) bill.
Other celebrities like celebrity photographer BJ Pascual, film director Samantha Lee, Janine Gutierrez, Mari Jasmine, and Iza Calzado joined the Pride.
Here are the photos I took during the event. Happy Pride!
