San Jose Del Monte (in Bulacan) celebrates its 19th Cityhood Anniversary via its Tanglawan Festival 2019.

It opened with the procession of its patron saint, Saint Joseph The Worker in August 30, 2019. It will culminate on September 10, 2019.

A whole set of activities this September has been prepared by the husband and wife team of Mayor Arthur Robes and wife Congresswoman Florida “Ate Rida” Robes.

The couple invited their media friends to see how San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan’ mission and vision are being done.

Apart from boasting of being the World’s Largest Lantern Parade Record Holder in the Guinness Book of World Records, Tourism is being boosted by the energetic couple next to the infrastructure they have started as investors see its potential as a “slumbering giant”.

We toured the lot where the first Veterinary in the Country can be found-where it has an x-ray room, an operating room and more for your pets.

There is the command center which also boasts of its facilities for emergencies that can serve when the need arises.

Schools. Sports complex. A park. What you can find in a Rising City.

“This is the first time kasi na nangyari that a Mayor and a Congresswoman works hand in hand with all the projects. And focused on the ongoing projects and other things to be developed,” mused the good Mayor.

And Ate Rida added that “Nung hindi kami ang partners, hindi na-sustain ang mga ginusto nilang masimulan. Kaya nakulangan sa vision and platform. Now, who are on board with us are people who believes in what we want done in our mission and vision for SJDM to become a Rising City.”

The couple are investing in human resource development. When the time comes that ABS-CBN is able to open their theme park in SJDM, there will be a manpower development institute as well. Many will have jobs.

“The reason why I am also pushing that the National ID System be launched here. Na dito siya magsimula.”

The LGBT issues like their own CR or other things are not a problem in SJDM.

“I have lesbian sisters,” according to Ate Rida. “Wala naman kaming ganyang problema here. Everyone is respected.”

A dream city. That is what everyone’s reaction was with the ongoing projects the power couple showed and shared with us.

But something that has bogged my mind wanted to find an answer. There was a time that somebody promised the netizens of show business that in partnership with an institution from showbiz (who already passed away) a subdivision or village for the
Showbiz industry people will rise in SJDM.

What happened to that project?

“Hindi totoo ‘yun. Walang gano’n. Ginamit lang nila ‘yun for political reasons. Para sa pagkalaban sa akin. Sa amin. It never materialized kasi there was no such thing in the first place,” said Mayor Robes. “Hindi siya taga’-rito, eh.”

The couple said that maybe in the future, that will happen. Especially if ABS-CBN will be on board with them.

For the now, the Rising City, one of the most promising cities in Central Luzon, shows a real potential of becoming a most preferred and investment-friendly destination.

VETERINARY

In investments that entail certain risks, the city is committed to develop a conducive environment that encourages profitability and growth. The ease in doing business. Their one stop shop and lower rates of business taxes.

Looking far beyond, Mayor Arthur and Congresswoman Ate Rida’ vision is “a people centered city, transformed into a progressive community of destination with highly competent people thriving in a vibrant economy.”

More and new projects to explore.

For the now, join them in their Tanglawan Festival 2019!
